Join us for live music, sustainability workshops, rural heritage exhibits, beer, tasty organic food offerings and dancing! As an added bonus, PFC will have a vendor booth at the fair, so we'll see you there!

A Night in Rio with Arlene Vrlec
Tuesday, July 29th, 6 to 8 p.m.
Spend a sultry night in Rio de Janeiro, enjoying Ceviche (lime-marinated fish), Empandinhas de Camarao (flaky shrimp turnovers), and Feijoda Completa (the national dish of Brazil—meat and black bean stew) served with the traditional accompaniments of Couve (stir-fried kale), rice, salsa, and sliced oranges. We’ll finish with an iced mocha drink topped with
ice cream.

How to Eat the Rainbow with Arlene Vrlec
Thursday, July 31st, 6 to 8 p.m.
With local produce at its peak, learn which important nutrients are present in various fruits and vegetables and why they are so important to good health. We’ll also discuss how to choose, transport, store and prepare them for optimum health and safety. This is more of an informational session but we will be preparing and sampling some local products too.

Spanish Tapas with Arlene Vrlec
Tuesday, August 12th, 6 to 8 p.m.
Perfect nibbles for a warm summer evening—we’ll prepare all-new recipes including Bunuelos (cod fritters), Tortilla Española (potato omelet), Marinated Manchego Cheese, and Spiced Almonds, along with several other scrumptious selections from sunny Spain.

Viva Italia Reprise with Arlene Vrlec
Thursday, August 21st, 6 to 8 p.m.
This evening we’ll travel across Italy, taking advantage of our fresh, local produce to make regional favorites including Panzanella (tomato, roasted pepper, and bread salad), Spinach and Ricotta Gnocchi, Crispy Sicilian Fish Fillets, and Stuffed Beef Rolls with Garlic and Tomato Sauce.
